ID 1259: A beautiful drawing in colour of the man who was the inspiration behind the building of the new Wenhaston village hall, Betram de Segundo. The building of the hall - a huge village effort both in fundraising and providing skills - was co-ordinated by Wenhaston Community Council (1971-2006). The hall opened in 1975 with work such as surfacing the car park following in later years, as and when monies allowed.
This original artwork was commisioned by Wenhaston Community Council in 1985 from respected artist Margot Noyes, then living in Wenhaston in one of the cottages near Low Farm.
You can see this drawing hanging in the main hall.
