ID 1267: A striking photograph of Colour Sgt Peter Wright, Coldstream Guards, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for an act of extreme bravery in 1943.<br />
The citation can be seen in image number 1268 and Mr Wright's biography can be seen in image number 1269<br />
Peter Wright was the brother of another well known local man, the late Mr Nelson Wright.<br />
The real photo is hanging up in the village hall.
