ID 244: Good Companions meal - in the Church Rooms.<br /> Sitting facing us on the centre right of the picture is Mrs Winifred Battle with her arms crossed. Next to her with the pearl necklace is an unknown lady, and to the right of her is Mrs Vogel who was Sylivia Barrett's mother. She started the Good Companions with her husband, and when it folded, a new club started in the village. The Phoenix Club was born hence the name.
